About iMTS
Equipment access and operator capability are the same problem. We took on both rather than pretending one solves the other.

Who we are
iMTS exists because the gap between a smallholder farm and a productive one is rarely the land or the will — it is access to a tractor at the right week of the season, and someone on the farm who knows how to run it properly.
We operate a working fleet of tractors, tillage equipment, planters, sprayers, a combine harvester and crawler dozers, and we hire them out with trained operators to farms across Ghana's middle belt. Land clearing through to haulage, booked as single passes or as a full season package.
Alongside that, we run a training centre. Because a machine that arrives on a farm nobody can maintain is a machine that breaks in six months. Our operator, maintenance and safety programmes are the other half of the same job.
What we are for
Powering Agriculture. Building Skills. Transforming Futures.
To provide world-class agricultural mechanisation services, practical training and innovative agribusiness solutions that empower farmers, enhance productivity and promote sustainable food systems.
To become West Africa's premier agricultural mechanisation and training institution, driving sustainable agricultural transformation through innovation, technology and capacity building.
How we work
We quote per acre in the open, and we will say when a job is not worth mechanising. A price that moves once the machine is already in the field is not a price.
Precision planting, drone application and data-led farm management are working tools here, not a brochure. What earns its place in the field stays.
Machine settings tuned per crop and per moisture reading, loss checks run on the first pass, and an application record issued after every job.
Operators are certified before they are sent out, buffer zones are observed around water and settlements, and occupational safety is taught as its own programme.
A machine on a farm nobody can maintain breaks within a season. We train the operators, the mechanics and the managers, not only the machine owner.
Tillage depth set to the soil rather than the schedule, residue turned in rather than burned, and passes kept to the minimum the field actually needs.
How we got here
Each stage was added because the one before it exposed a gap — not because a plan said so.
iMTS is set up to take on the land preparation and mechanisation stage of the iFeed value chain, initially serving the group's own contracted farmer network.
Planting, spraying and harvesting equipment is added so a farm can book the whole season from one provider rather than chasing four.
Operator certification and maintenance programmes begin, after repeated evidence that equipment access without operator capability does not hold up past the first season.
Services and training are opened to any farm in the catchment, not only iFeed-contracted growers.
Part of something larger
iMTS is a subsidiary of iFeed Agribusiness & Farms Limited, part of the Safo-Sarpong Group. Mechanisation, training and farm-management expertise sit with us for the whole group — iFeed farms the land, PapaAgric aggregates and trades the crop, iFeed Logistics moves it, and the machinery and the people who run it are ours.
For a farm outside the group, that is the point. Our equipment stays busy across a network far wider than any single farm could justify on its own, which is what keeps hire rates workable — and it means the farms we work with can reach inputs, offtake and haulage through the same relationship, without having to assemble four of them.

The wider group
iMTS is one of seven companies operating across the group — from land and inputs through mechanisation, aggregation and trading, to haulage and community programmes.
